Guardians Place Arias on IL, Recall Brito for Debut
CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Guardians placed shortstop Gabriel Arias on the 10-day injured list on April 7, 2026, with a moderate left hamstring strain expected to sideline him 4-8 weeks.
In response, they recalled infi[url]e[/url]lder Juan Brito from Triple-A Columbus. Brito made his MLB debut the following day and went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and run scored.
The move tests Cleveland's infield depth early in the season but provides opportunity for young talent.
