- How can I play? The steps in detail:
- Click on "Game info".
- Click on "Sign-up".
- Choose the type of membership and click on "continue":
- The free of charge version (Basic Player) is the best way to get to know the game, however it is limited in functionality and features.
- The Plus Player version only costs 18,80 EUR per season and offers you many addional features. As a Plus Player you may participate in a Mini League with members playing free of charge (Basic Player) but not in a Pro Player Mini Leagues.
- The Pro Player version only costs 21,80 EUR per season and offers you even more features than the Plus Player. It is aimed at experienced users, who would like to get the most out of this Fantasy Football Manager Game.
- Here are four choices:
- You've already received an invitation with Mini League name and password. This means that you can join this private Mini League. Please enter the Mini League name and password on the next screen and click on "Continue".
- You've already received a Mini League name. This means that you can join this public Mini League. Search for the Mini League name in the list and select the box to the left. Then click on "Continue".
- You would like to create a new Mini League for anybody: Choose "Create a public Mini League" and enter its name. Then click on "Continue".
- You would like to create your own private Mini League for yourself and your friends: Choose "Create private Mini League" and enter a name and password. Then click on "Continue".
- Now you only need to create your own account: Please enter a Login name, password and your first name an click on "Continue" - now you can start playing!
- Which features are available in the different versions of the game? You will find an overview of all features of the Basic, Plus and Pro Player in the editions.
If you register with Comunio, the features of the Plus Player will be automatically available for free for a period of 30 days. Excluded from this are the prioritized login and the market value performance. - How can I convert my current account into a Plus Player account? Please log in first. You may make your account via this link a Comunio Champions League Plus Player. (You can also find this link under "Administration" -> "Change user data". Your bids, points etc. will not be changed by becoming Plus Player. You may become Plus Player independent of your other community members. Here the Plus Player features are described.
New users automatically get the Plus Player features free of charge for the first 14 days! - How can an existing community convert into a Pro Player community, so that every member is keeping his team? The community manager may convert his community via this link. (The link can also be found under "Administration" -> "Community administration". All teams, bids, points etc. remain untouched. All Pro Player features are described here.
- May I become a Pro Player in my Mini League by myself or must all members of my Mini League become Pro Player?Because of their extra features Pro Player are likely to receive more points than non-Pro Player. Due to fairness it's not possible to become Pro Player by yourself in a non-Pro Player community.
- How can I invite friends to my Mini LeagueAnyone that receives the community name and password (for private communities) can join. For simplicity we provide a form to invite new members after signing up. All you need to enter is name and e-mail of the person to invite. Of course you may modify the invitation text as you wish. With a click on "Continue" all invitations are send by e-mail.
Any community member can also invite new members under "Administration" -> "Invite new members".
Another possibility is our "Member exchange forum", where you can advertise your community with a short description. - How many members should/may a Mini League have?Theoretically more than 25 are possbile. Nevertheless between five and 18 is a good target value, because in every match only around 25 players are rated, i.e. the more members the community has, the less players that receive points a member has. Too few members is also bad, as the competition is low and transfer negotiation is mainly done with the computer which is not as exciting as with other members. During the course of the game you might also swap players which is not possible with the computer.
- Where do I see who else is in the Mini League and the players they have?Under "Standings" you'll see who's in your Mini League and their respective points. You can inspect their teams by clicking on their names. If a new member joins your Mini League it is also announced in the community news. ("XYZ has joined").
- What are the numbers in parentheses next to the logged in players? The number in parenthesis is the number of minutes since the last action.
- Can I play alone?Yes, you may play on your own: In such a case we suggest to join a public Mini League (without password).
All by yourself in your own Mini League is of course also possible, but you won't get to know many aspects of the game therefore we do not advice this method. - How do I know that none of my friends has already created a Mini League?Quite simple: If you haven't received a Mini League name and password by someone else, you're the first one and can start a new Mini League for you and your friends.
- Can I play in more than one community?Yes, but not with the same user name. You must sign up individually for every community that you play in. If you're already logged in and would like to do something in another community, you must re-login with the other user name.
- Can I signup more than once for one community?Yes, even this is possible with multiple user name. But be aware that this would provide you an unfair advantage compared to other members of your community and they will certainly not tolerate this. The community manager may impose a penalty, expel you from the community or the members can simply create a new community without you!
- What authorisations / possibilities does the community manager have? The community manager has the following rights and possibilities:
- Changing of the community settings:
- Community name
- Community password for private communities
- Number of days after which bids expire and the computer would accept/decline them (1-9)
- Number of days after which bids from Mini League members expire (1-9, only for Pro Player Mini Leagues)
- Number of players the computer offers on the transfer list (0-13 or 0-25 in Pro Player communities)
- Number of days after which a Mini League member may put a newly bought player on the transfer list (0-365)
- Starting conditions for new members (20 M starting budget + randomly assigned team or 40 M starting budget + no team or 45 M + randomly assigned team + budget adjustment)
- Setting for the next season
- Activation/Deactivation of salaries (only in Pro Player communities)
- Community description
- Setting of the payment method in Pro Player Mini Leagues
- Deleting members
- View the (encrypted) IP of community members and the time of their last action
- Send warning e-mails to community members
- Setting/Removal of Mini League management rights
- Setting/Removal of the champion and red lantern and other icons
- Impose penalties or bonuses
- Transfer nullification
- Changing of the community settings:
- Can I move with my account into another league? That's not possible. It can be that the players in the new community are already assigned. You have to register again in the new community.
- What is "News-Connect"?News-Connect allows Pro Player leagues to share the news board with other Pro Player leagues. All new and existing public news board messages are shared between accepted leagues. The leader is able to invite other leagues to share the news board. He may also accept, reject or delete invitations under "Administration"->"News-Connect".
All Pro Player features are described here. - What is "Webservice servicekey"?If you are a PRO-Player, you are able to use several functions of the Comunio SOAP Webservice. You need a servicekey to get the access to the operations. Request the servicekey in the community settings if you are the leader of your community, or ask the leader to do so. Add the servicekey as an element information item to the SOAP Header element information item in your SOAP-Request (e.g. <servicekey>12345678-ABCD-0000-FEDC-0123456789AB</servicekey> http://www.w3.org/TR/soap12/#soaphead).
You will find the WSDL here: https://www.comunio-cl.com/soapservice.php?wsdl You can use the following SOAP Operations:

- Why is a player's position defence/midfield/striker although he's playing on another position for his club?To keep objectivity and provide planning reliability, Comunio Champions League use positions of the club's team. In general positions are only adjusted during the winter and summer break. When this happens we'll change the player's position as well.
- When are position reworked/changed?In general Comunio Champions League is reworking the positions during the summer break, sometimes during the winter break as well.
- What happens to players that leave the Champions League, e.g. relegate, end their career or transfer into another league? If it's certain that a player will leave the Champions League, his market value will be frozen. This means that the market value doesn't change any more and the player will not be placed on the transfer list by the computer any longer. If you are having a player with a frozen market value in your squad, you can sell him at any time or also retain him.
If a relegation or a transfer is already certain before the end of the season, the player will be deactivated after the season has ended. For transfers into another league, the market value will be frozen as soon as the transfer has been officially confirmed, what usually happens after the contract is signed and the medical check is passed. If a player has no longer a valid contract with his club after the end of the season, his market value will also be frozen. - What do the icons of the player status display for Pro and Plus Player mean?
The player is fit The player is off-color, may become fit till the next match though The player is injured The player is red banned The player is yellow banned The player is yellow-red banned The player is on national team leave No fixture for the players team on the upcoming matchday The player is unable to attend for miscellaneous reasons The player is suspended or disregarded for some other reason The player is not playing in the Champions League any more The player is deceased The player is in rehabilitation
- How are the points calculated?Every game day you receive points for the lined up players of your team based on the real performance of the player in the Champions League. The basis of valuation is listed in the rules.
- Why haven't I received points for the last game day?Was your account balance negative at the time of the start of the first match of the matchday? According to the rules you will not receive any points for the matchday in this case.
Have you saved your lineup? You have to confirm your lineup at latest until the start of the first match of the matchday.
Maybe you have received points but positive and negative points have added up to a total of 0 points? - During the matchday my account balance became negative. Will I receive no points for the matchday? As long as you had no negative balance at the start of the first match of the matchday, you will receieve points for your saved lineup in any case. At any later time you can use your credit line and overdraw your account without consequences.
- Why do I come up with more points in my calculation, than the computer has awarded me?Have you had one position left open? For every open position you receive according to the rules -4 points.
Do you think the computer has overlooked a goal? Unfortunately it's not always clear who has scored the goal and different sources state different scorers. In such cases we follow the statistics of Sofascore. Also be aware that a penalty goal is awarded 3 points regardless of the player's position. - When will I finally receive points? The points are calculated after the end of the last match of the match day. Normally this happens Sunday night from 10 p.m. onwards which means that no login is possible until 11 p.m. The point calculation is usually moved to the next working day during holidays.
- What are the substitute players for?As Pro Player you may specify one substitute per tactical position. The substitute comes into play, if one of your starting players does not receive points and is not rated, i.e. not playing at all or only for a short period and therefore not receiving a grade, no goal scored and not sent off the field.
- We are playing with salaries, why havn't we received the increased points bonus? The points bonus is awarded during the calculation of points. Only if salaries are activated at the time of the calculation of points the increased bonus is awarded.
- What are Live Substitutions?Live Substitutions is a feature available for Plus and Pro Players. It allows you to make changes in your lineup during an already ongoing matchday. So you can respond if e.g. one of your players won't play because of a last-minute-injury or a match needs to be postponed.
- How do the Live Substitutions work?Within the standings section you have to access the live table. There you can make changes in your lineup as long as the following conditions are fulfilled:
- the formation remains unchanged
- the account balance is not negative at the time of the substitution
- the clubs of the involved players haven't played yet on the ongoing matchday respectively their match hasn't started yet
- Which players can be used for Live Substitutions?Any player in the own squad can be substituted during the ongoing matchday as long as the following conditions are fulfilled:
- the club of the players hasn't played yet on the ongoing matchday respectively his match hasn't started yet
- the players haven't been sold to the computer or another manager
- the players isn't in the saved lineup of another manager
- Can players, that already have played, be substituted? No, players will be blocked and can't be substituted as soon as the match of their team has started.
- Can players, who already have been sold, be substituted? No, players will be blocked and can't be substituted as soon as they have been sold to the computer or another manager.
- Is it possible to change the formation in order to make a Live Substitution? No, the formation that was saved before the start of the matchday can't be changed. Live Substitutions therefore are only possible for changes within identical positions.
- Is it possible to cover empty positions through Live Substitutions?Yes, empty positions in the lineup can be covered with players from the identical position during the ongoing matchday.
- Can the Live Substitutions be disabled? No, it's not possible to disable the feature optionally. It's available for Plus and Pro Players on each matchday.
- What's the difference between Live Substitutions and Substitutes?Substitutes is a Pro Player feature, which allows to lineup one substitute for each position. The substitutes are automatically coming into play if a player on their position isn't rated. The Live Substitutions are allowing to also make changes on the substitutes during an ongoing matchday.
- How do the evaluations work? Each evaluation is compiled out of more than 200 individual statistics. The data are collected by the sports analytics company Opta. Each of these stats can have a positive or negative impact on the individual evaluation of a player.
The manner of the impact on the players evaluation depends on the specific event, player position, area of play, minute of the match and match outcome.
Comunio converts the SofaScore-evaluations into grades and points in accordance with a predetermined conversion key.
More detailed information regarding the evaluations can be found here and here. - When does a player receive an evaluation?Basically every player is receiving an evaluation by SofaScore as soon as he has played at least eight minutes. Thereby the extra time is taken into account.
Exception: If a player scores a goal or receives a sending-off, no minimum playing time is required for a rating. - Are there live-evaluations?Ten minutes after the kick-off SofaScore publishs the first evaluations, which then will be updated in short intervals. Therefore it's possible to observe how the evaluations of the players are developing during the currently running match.
- Are the evaluations at the end of a match definite? The individual statistics will be thoroughly checked after the end of a match. Within a period of 8 hours after the final whistle of a match, corrections may be made, which may also lead to changes in player ratings and thus Comunio points.
If in exceptional cases there are further corrections after the 8 hours after the end of the match, Comunio reserves the right not to take them into account for the points calculation.
- Where can I see my fellow players points?Under "Standings" you'll find the current ranking of your Mini League.
- What do the symbols next to the user under "Standings" mean?At the end of the season the community manager may set the champion icon for the winner and the red lantern for the one finishing last. Some communities have arranged an internal cup for which Pro Player communities may additionally assign a cup icon. This internal cup is not organized by the computer, but arranged by the users themselves. For example at certain game days members compete against each other and whoever receives more points on that game day advances to the next round. This can be continued to the final.
- Who is winning, if two or more members have the same number of points at the end of the season? If there's a tie the team value at the change date from the old to the new season decides. If you would like to use a different criteria internally, the Mini League Manager may award the champion and red lantern icons under "Administration"->"Manage community members" manually.
- What are the Live points that appear on your team in Live Standings?Live points are the points received by your players during an ongoing Comunio gameday. The points with the Live icon in green show the points that your players have got after finishing their matches. The points with the Live icon in red show the points that your players are receiving while they are playing their games.
The points without Live icon, are the points obtained by the players in the previous gameday.
- How are the market values of the players determined? When a player is bought from the computer, a small percentage of the difference between bid and market value is added to the player's market value (for every bid that's above the target price). E.g. if a player (old value 20 M) is bought from the computer for 25 M and the bids were 25, 24 und 22 M, then the player's value thereafter would be 20 + 0.5 + 0.4 + 0.2 = 21.1 M (e.g. with an increase rate of 10%).
If the computer places a player on the exchange market and nobody purchases the player, the player's market value will decline for a small percentage. E.g. if a player is on the exchange market for 20 M and nobody purchases the player, the player's value will fall by 1 M and thus be 19 M thereafter (e.g. with a decrease rate of 5%).
Additionally the market value of a player may increase or decrease at most per day by 15% or 250.000, whichever is bigger. The percentage the player's value will decrease is the higher the more often the player is already in squads and thus less likely be on the exchange market. In detail the algorithm is a bit more complex (e.g. it's impossible that a market value will drop to 0, the current minimum is 160.000). These subtleties have almost no impact on the calculation. Also transfers between community members have no impact on the market value! - Could you please place xyz on the exchange market? The computer places players randomly on the transfer list. This procedure cannot be changed for a single user or the whole Mini League in order to ensure long-term fun.
- Why do some players appear often on the transfer list, others never? The computer places player randomly on the transfer list. Therefore some players may be placed on the transfer list more often than others.
- Can I see my fellow player's bids? No, bids are hidden. I.e. other members of your community don't see your offer and you cannot see theirs. This has the advantage that your chances of acceptance of a bid are independent of when the bid was entered. If you and another member bid the same price it is randomly decided by the computer who receives the player.
- Why haven't I gotten a new player although my offers have been accepted and the money was deducted from my account?Transfers are only processed at transfer times! The transfer times are listed in the Comunio Champions League calendar. In general transfers take place once per day. Is your offer's status "accepted", you'll get the player at the next transfer event. After the transfer, the status of the offer is "processed"
- I've mistyped my bid, e.g. one extra digit. Could you please revert the transfer? In such cases the Mini League Manager may nullify transfers under "Administration"-> "Undo transfer". The nullification is not retroactive on the points calculation, i.e. if your balance was negative on the match day and you've received no points therefore the nullification won't help you to get points.
- I've placed a bid for a player, when do I get him?For bids for players of the computer, the point in time when offers are accepted depends on when the player was placed on the transfer list and after how many days offers expire in your Mini League. If they expire after one day, the Computer accepts and rejects offers and transfers the player after one day. If they expire after two days the computer acts two days after the player was placed on the transfer list and so on.
You must be the highest bidder above the target price to get the player! - I've placed a player on the transfer list, how's bidding for it when?Immediately after you have placed a player on the transfer list all other members of your Mini League can bid for this player. You can either accept or decline those offers. The computer will place a bid on the next day, which you can also accept or decline. If in your Mini League bids expire after one day you need to decide quickly. If they expire after two or more days, the offer remains open longer accordingly.
Hint: The Computer always bids about the market value (+/-5%) of the player. If the Computer should bid less than market value, you can - in case it's not urgent - place the player once again on the transfer list and wait for a possibly better offer on the next day! To receive an offer by the computer on the same day the player must be placed on the transfer list before 3:00 a.m. (CET) and must not be removed until the computer has placed his bid. - Why aren't player's of a deleted member placed on the transfer list?If a League member is deleted, his/her players are locked for 20 days. After this period the players return to the computer. Only thereafter they may come up on the transfer list again. In Pro Player Mini Leagues, for the same reason, the last owner is still shown in the player search during the blocked period.
- When do players from promoted teams or new entrants show up on the transfer list?Players of promoted team and new national entrants are usually entered until the change for the new season occurs. These player may appear on the exchange market thereafter. New entrants from foreign countries are usually added when the transfer has been confirmed by the new club.
- Until when do I have to accept an offer so that the player gets transfered on the same day? Please accept the offer before 3 a.m. (CET)
- Until when do I have to put a player on the transfer list so that I will get an offer by the computer on the same day? Please put the player on the transfer list before 3 a.m. (CET)
- Why do i have to accept an offer to me or have to put a player on the transfer list before 3 a.m. (CET)?At 3 a.m. (CET) the Transfer-Phase starts on the server, the transfers getting performed. Until the transfers are done its unfortunately not possible to make changes.
- What are barter deals? If activated in the community settings, squad members can be offered in exchange (in addition to money) for transfers between league members.
- What is a release clause?A release clause is an amount of money you can pay in order to sign one of your community member's players to the next transfer time.
- What is the amount of the release clause? The amount of the release clause depends on the current market value of the player and is, depending on the setting, 1.5, 2, 3 or 5 times the market value.
- How can I pay a release clause? You can pay a player's release clause by choosing 'Pay release clause' in the player's profile.
- What happens in case I don't have eleven players on a matchday due to forced sales by release clause? You will receive -4 points per vacant position - also in this case.
- Will a player be transferred immediately after the release clause has been paid? The player will be transferred at the next transfer event like the players on the transfer market.
- Does every player have a release clause? Can I prevent a transfer by release clause? If the feature is activated, every player of a community member can be transferred by paying the release clause. It is not possible to exclude a player from it. Depending on the setting, a player whose release clause has been payed can be blockt for another transfer by release clause for a certain time.
- Can I also sign players from the computer by paying the release clause? No. Even if the release clauses are activated, you will need to wait for the Computer to put the player on the transfer market until you can sign him. Once a player is part of a community member's team, you can pay his release clause.
- How can I renew my account (ahead of time)?36 and 15 days before expiration the computer sends notices including payment conditions. Yet you may renew your account anytime by transfering the membership fee with your ID to this account.
- I forgot to state my user name in the reason for payment when I transferred my membership fee. Is that a problem?Usually this is no problem since the User ID is sufficient to reconcile your payment to your account. Please send an e-mail to info@comunio-cl.com, if your account gets locked.
- To which account do I have to transfer my membership fee to if I am a Pro or Plus Player?Account holder Comunio GmbH
IBAN: DE86700202700657224227
BIC / SWIFT Code: HYVEDEMMXXX (Unicredit Bank-HypoVereinsbank)
In the bank transfer details please state your login name and User ID, e.g.Comunio GmbHDE86700202700657224227HYVEDEMMXXXUnicredit Bank-HypoVereinsbankYour ID (e.g."CL111111")Your username/loginAdınızYour bank account number - What do I have to include in the reason for payment when I am transferring my membership fee for my Pro/Plus Player account? Please note the following:
- We cannot reconcile your payment to your account and thus not activate it if your User ID and login name are not included on the bank transfer. Please always state your ID and your login!
- Please write your User ID without points, commas or spaces!
- Please bear in mind that a bank transfer usually takes about 2-3 working days. Bank transfers from foreign countries even longer, usually about 5 days. Your account will automatically be activated as soon as your money arrived on our account. If you would like to know the status of your activation simply take a look at your membership profile.
- If you transfer the money for more than one Plus Player or Pro Player, please state the User IDs of all accounts to ease the reconciliation. An exception to this rule is the collective bank transfer for Pro Player Mini Leagues. In this case the User ID and login name of the person making the bank transfer is sufficient!
- Please use for EU bank transfers the IBAN/BIC Code to keep the bank transfer costs at a minimum.
- I am Pro/Plus Player and have already transfered the membership fee. When will all the features be activated? Please check your bank account statements after 7 working days, if the bank has credited the membership fee and no errors occured i.e. correct statement of your User ID and Login name in the reason for payment. If that's not the case please send an e-mail with the name of the bank account owner, date of debit entry according to the statement, your User ID and Login name.
- Why are there different payment options? To create a new Pro Player community, you must choose one payment option. Please note that the community manager does not have the same possibilities with the option "Everyone pays by himself" as with the other payment options, especially deletion of other members is not allowed.
With the option "Community manager pays for the whole community up to ten members" the community may not become larger than ten members. If you want more players, please change the payment option and transfer the Pro Player fee for each additional member. - How can I terminate my Pro/Plus Player membership? Please send a notice of termination in due time with your user name and your Comunio Champions League ID (if you are logged in, you will find the id under the logout button beside the username) to info@comunio-cl.com. In the last weeks of your Plus Player membership you may also cancel the membership under "Administraton".
- How are the player salaries calculated? For being even closer to reality Pro Player communities can optionally play with player salaries. If you play with salaries, then everyday for every player 500 Euro plus 0,1% of his market value is deducted from your budget. On game days you receive per point 30.000 instead of 10.000.

- How much time do I need for the game? How much you like! In theory you only need to line up your players once prior to each game day and most likely you'll sometimes receive points. Yet who's playing more often, will probably perform better. Per default it is thought that you can stay informed if you check the news and transfer list every 2-3 days. This can be changed on the community level though. In general who plays more often and is better informed about football most likely performs better.

- How do we continue next season? What's the "change of seasons"?
Every community manager can select one out of 9 choices how to continue into the next season under "Administration"->"Manage Community".
At the transition into the new season only communities which have been founded before the start of the last game day of the season are respected. The transition into the new season is announced in the Comunio calendar an the community news in due time and takes about five hours. During this time transfers are performed and the transition chosen by the community manager.Season transitions:
What will happen to my team? What will happen to my account balance?Basic Player:
Keep team + 5 M
Every member is keeping his team. No players will be assigned.Every member is keeping his budget and receives extra 5 M for new acquisitions.New team, 20 M
The team will be deleted. Every member gets a new team of 15 players assigned. The account balance will be deleted. Every member gets 20 M starting budget. No team, 40 M
The team will be deleted. No players will be assigned. The account balance will be deleted. Every member gets 40 M starting budget.Keep 5, 9 M, 10 with fixed positions assigned
Every member must keep 5 of his players he had selected under "Line up". If he doesn't select them under "Line up", he automatically keeps the 5 with the most points. If he selects less than 5 players, he automatically keeps the next up to 5 with the most points.
Additionally he gets 10 players assigned: 1 goalkeeper, 3 defenders, 4 midfielders and 2 strikers. Every member must keep 5 of his players he had selected under "Line up". If he doesn't select them under "Line up", he automatically keeps the 5 with the most points. If he selects less than 5 players, he automatically keeps the next up to 5 with the most points. No players will be assigned. If account balance is < 0, the account balance will be raised by 20 M. If account balance is > 0, the member starts with 20 M.Keep player up to 30 M
Every member keeps as many players as desired and selected under "Line up". No players will be assigned. The new account balance equals 1/3 of the wealth (= team value + account balance up to 10 M).
Additionally: If the team value is above 30 M then 1,5 times the difference between team value and 30 M is deducted.
Is team value less than 30 M then the difference between team value and 30 M is added.

Every member keeps his team. No players will be assigned.Half of every member's wealth (= Account balance + Team Value) is pooled and then redistributed evenly amongst all community members. Half of wealth (old) + share of pool = wealth (new). Wealth (new) - Team Value = Account balance (new). A negative account balance reduces the initial wealth. It's also quite possible that debts will increase through the reallocation of wealth.
